With the state of emergency lifted and summer on the way, there are at least two reasons to be cheerful after the heartache of the last year. Here at The Singular Space, we’ve got a mood-boosting new project that, at first glance, might seem a little off-brand. In fact, it ties in nicely with the emotions and experiences that extraordinary spaces create.
Imagine relaxing in a serene living room, gazing out at untamed nature in all its splendour; sinking into a deep, foamy bubble bath in a palatial bathroom; or preparing a luscious dinner in a spacious, light-filled kitchen... Every room in a property invites us to make new memories, while evoking special moments from our past. These memories transport us back and encourage us to look forward with hope.
Another sure-fire way to stir the emotions is with music. Music can be the perfect tool to lift us up and spark the optimism we all long to feel once more. That’s the idea behind our newly launched playlist, available on Spotify. It’s bursting with invigorating, joyful tunes for every occasion, handpicked by The Singular Space.
Under the title “Nuevos Aires", the playlist features 20 tracks performed by emerging artists and musical legends alike (think Amaia, Nick Mulvey, Tom Misch, Xoel López, Jungle and more). 20 tracks, all guaranteed to leave you positive and excited about the future. 20 tracks to enjoy at home or on the move, alone or with friends, to celebrate the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s the first playlist in a four-part series to be released over the course of the coming months.
Extraordinary Partnerships
This initiative is brought to you in partnership with SonandoVoy, a specialist music agency that creates sonic identities and scores for TV series, marketing campaigns, films, events, brands, products and services. Ale Acosta, musical director at SonandoVoy and a member of the band Fuel Fandango, will be curating the entire collection, pointing us towards the best selection of tracks for each playlist.
Acosta has enjoyed a long and very successful career as a professional musician. He has produced tracks for well-known artists, including Enrique Morente, Buika, Muchachito, Juancho Marqués and Love of Lesbian, and composed scores for TV series such as Arde Madrid and Toy Boy.
After this very painful year, during which so many of us lost loved ones and we all had to adapt to a radically different way of life, The Singular Space is eager to bring back some much-needed optimism and positivity.
